#OpenToHelping

What's it all about?

Mass lay-offs, economic downturn - LinkedIn is overflowing with people who are currently #OpenToWork.

The #OpenToHelping movement arose in response - it's a grassroots movement of LinkedIn users looking to support anyone who could use a hand right now.

Whether it's offering advice, reviewing a resume, giving feedback - updating your profile picture with the welcoming yellow #OpenToHelping banner lets people know you're in their corner and ready to help. It's a great way of building your network, making strong connections, and building a stronger sense of community.

To date, more than 2,000,000 LinkedIn users have seen the #OpenToHelping banner. Thousands are sporting the banner, and (since this isn't an official banner) this tool was designed to make it easier to join the movement.

So: Upload your picture, adjust as needed, and hit save! Then you can upload to your LinkedIn profile and let everyone know you're #OpenToHelping!
